Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What specification of PC do I need to run your software?
A. Any Multi media PC from the year 2000 to date will be suitable, but must have an enabled sound card with speakers or headset earphones, and a minimum 256 MB Ram. There are reports and certificates to be printed so a connected printer is advisable although the documents can be printed from any other PC with printer that can connect to DatPort through the internet
Q. What operating systems are compatible?
A. Windows 95/98/ME/2000/Pro/XP/Vista
Q. Do you provide technical support?
A. Yes. We pride ourselves on providing a high degree of customer care and technical support is a necessary part of it. Although, we are pleased to report that technical support is more a case of lost passwords than software issues.
Q. Changes to Health & Safety legislation would make your Health & Safety product outdated. How do you intend to keep my company up to date?
A. We track legislative changes and update our products accordingly. Modified updates to the web version are seamless, but if you have chosen to download the install version of our products you are notified automatically of a new download as soon as you attempt to login
Q. How do I access my company's data?
A. Your live data can be viewed from DatPort the HQ Web Portal, although, it will be restricted depending on your access level whether it is group, site administrator or employee. Assessment performance, risk grading and profile information form the first tier report. Various data queries produce a host of additional reports, and e-mail alerts in some cases. For example, a driver with 6 conviction points on their licence can be highlighted for immediate attention to try and prevent the next conviction.
Q. Your web page mentions that the products can be customised and branded please elaborate?
A. A client may have a working environment that needs to be featured in a training course, with their help we create a new module and fix it to the course. It is also very popular for clients to have relevant documents such as Health & Safety Statements and Driver Policy along with a welcome note from a Senior Director embedded in the front end of the resources . This is often displayed following a motivational Macromedia Flash movie, which is optional.
