Starting and Running ArriveSafe
The ArriveSafe online assessment course is built with Authorware Version 7. There are two versions available and you should choose the appropriate one for your system and requirements.

1. Web Version , This version is delivered via the internet and your browser requires the Authorware Web Player Control which is a free download from Macromedia (Adobe).

When you click the link opposite to start ArriveSafe, your browser will be checked automatically to see if the Web Player is installed or not. If not it will automatically connect to the Macromedia Download Site and commence the download in the backgound. You should accept any security pop-up messages that appear.

2. Installable Version. This is a stand-alone application which installs the course as a program onto your PC. This version does not require the Authorware web Player and may be the best choice if you experience problems downloading and installing the web player.

Download Times

Depending on your current system the web player download may be up to a maximum of 2.4Mb in size so you should allow time for the download to complete and install. You can see the progress of this in the bar at the bottom left of your browser window. If the download halts without installing the player you may have security settings on your PC to prevent the installation or you may be logged in with insufficient user privileges. In this case speak to your PC support department.

When the installation is complete the course should start to run automatically.

The download is a one-time install per PC used for the course, so if you already have the Web Player installed, the course will start as soon as you click the link.

The full install version is a one-time download of approximately 4.5MB.
